A bumper field of 116 players contested the trophies from Kyabram and District Funerals in Saturday’s two events mixed fourball and stableford game. Susan Moody representing the Company was present for the announcement of winners live streaming. Jenni Dixon and Mal William were the winners of the mixed with 45 points. Runnerup were Lorna Alchin and Tony Lasini on 44 points while third went to Kathy and Ken Risstrom with 43 points. It was Kathy’s first game after obtaining her handicap. Fourth were Di Day and Max Jenkins on 42 points. Ball winners were Dot Atkinson/ Andrew Phillips, Geraldine and Bryan Prendergast, Pam Spokes/ Tony Potts, Heather and Vin Sleeth, Nola Arnold/Rick Walsh, visitors Toni Kilderry/John Horn from Murray Downs, Mary Elliott/David Green and Evelyn Cunningham /Les Jones.
The men’s A Grade stableford event winner went to Tom McConchie with 33 points. Runnerup was Robin Quinin from Rich River on 33 points. B Grade was won by George Saynor on 39 points with Brendan Baumann runnerup with 37 points. A first up winner in C Grade was Mark Ciavarella with 42 points. Les Harrison was runnerup with 37 points. Third went to Steve Vick on 36 points after a countback. Ball winners were Tim Hood,Chris Harmer,Barry Scott,Peter Price, Steve Walsh,Peter Fawcett and Peter Tindale. The lucky card winner went to John Ellis.
Wednesday’s two person ambrose was hotly contested with David Kuiper and Barney McDonald announced the winners with a net 50.8. Second went to Peter Price and Howard Teasdale with a net 51.3 while third went to John Bauerle and Ray Coleman on 51.3. Fourth were Billy Ryan and Brenton Sheppard with 51.3. Ball winners were Tim and Nathan Richards, Paul and Trevor Price, Ray Falla and Rod Donohue, Tom Haigh and Mick Sullivan, Sam Attardi and Jason McKenzie.The lucky card winner went to Sam Attardi and Jason McKenzie.
The club is still in COVID 19 restriction mode with players expected to adhere to.

MAJOR COMING EVENTS: Golfers are reminded that the Men’s and Ladies Club Championships will commence in August. Those wishing to participate must have played five rounds of competition golf since June 1st last year.

Tuesday Ladies Stableford event was sponsored by Hair with DNA. The A Grade winner was Margaret Tucker with 36 points. Runner-up was Heather Gunstone with 33 points on a countback from Mary Elliott. B Grade saw Mary Trimby win with 38 points. Sue Reid was runner-up with 36 points. C Grade saw Jan Gentle win with 35 points. Runner-up was Pauline Laidlaw with 34 points on a countback from Bev Howard who featured in the ball competition with Mary Elliott,Geraldine Prendergast,Ann McPherson,Bev Wickham,Rhonda Cox, Jenni Dixon,Heather Sleeth, Val Hanke.Lucky Card winner was Ann McPherson.
