The Parkland men’s Championships will come to a close this week with no clear outcome who will be the next golfing champion. With the best three rounds out of four to get a result the field is down to about four players whom have a genuine chance. Taking the two best so far David Cartwright 124 is one shot in front of Jason McKenzie 125 while Ed McQuienn is on 126.Going on recent form players will have to shoot a round of less than sixty to claim victory. In B Grade Brendan Baumann 131 has a five shot buffer over Ken Campbell 136. There are a number of players in C Grade whom can take the title. Howard Teasdale with a two game total of 147 is one head while Troy Pearce is on 148. Fred Roberts is next with 149. Others in contention are Chris Harmer, Scott Hausler, Greg Ryan, Joshua and Jacob Cartwright. In the 60 and over event Ray Falla 128 has a one shot lead over Tom McConchie 129.
Baker’s Dellght were the supporting sponsors for the stroke event with 90 in the field. Bob Troy hit top form to take the A Grade trophy with 61-11-50.Runnerup was Tony Potts with the same scratch score of 61 net 51 after a countback from Scott McLennan 60-9-51.B Grade went to Mal Williams with
72-14-58 after a three way countback from Mark Mullins and Tim Nelson. Mal finished with
72-14-58 the same score as Mark while Tim had 74-16-58.C Grade was the youngsters who showed up with Joshua Cartwright winning with 73-23-50. Runnerup was Tim Richards with
72-18-54 after a countback from Jacob Cartwright 78-24-54.Kathy Bell was the winner of the women’s A Grade with 77-17-60.Runnerup was Faye Glover on
78-17-61 after a countback from Mary Elliott
81-20-61 third. Sue Reid won B Grade with 84-23-61.Runnerup was Bev McLay on
85-22-63 while third went to Lorna Alchin on 85-21-64.A happy go lucky Jackie Pearce was the winner of C Grade with 88-29-59.Runnerup was Geraldine Prendergast with

PUBLIC HOLIDAY FRIDAY:A stableford event will be conducted for men and women commencing from 10:00 a.m. entries can be entered on the timesheets at the clubhouse. Entry cost is $10
WARRAMUNDA DAY: The Warramunda men’s and women’s ambrose pairs will take place this Sunday. Entries can be entered on the starting sheets at the Clubhouse. Entry cost is $10
ANNUAL MEETING: The Club’s Annual Meeting will be held on Tuesday,17th November 2020 starting at 7.30 p.m with Covid 19 regulations may apply. Agenda Items are requested to be put on the Clubs notice board or handed to the Secretary. Nomination forms for Committees will be available at the Clubhouse.

Congratulations to our winners on Tuesday who each received a bracelet for their efforts from Kyabram Showcase Jewellers. The A Grade winner was Kathy Bell with 70-17-53, runner-up was Heather Sleeth on 72-17-55. B Grade went to Jenni Dixon 79-25-54, runner-up Christine Kelly 77-21-56.The C Grade was Jackie Pearce with
83-30-53 on a countback from Pamela Reyment 88-35-53. Third was Barb Duke with 80-26-54.The ball competition run-down were Jenny Todd,Geraldine Prendergast,Lyn Fraser,Helen Caldwell,Lana McInnes,Di Watson,Faye Glover,Kathy Fanning from two others.The best scratch score was Kathy Bell with 70.Jackie Pearce was the round 4 winner of the Roma Fraser Memorial Brooch.The Championship leader in A Grade is Heather Gunstone with 70-71.B Grade Lorna Alchin 72-83 and C Grade Jenny Todd 85-83. Two more rounds are to be played and then the best 3 out of 4 to be assessed after Tuesday week that will find the winner in each grade.
The “Home Club Virtual Pennant” series has commenced with Parkland going down 3/2 against Numurkah Pink.Tomorrow Parkland will be up against Cobram 1.
ANNUAL MEETING: The Annual Meeting of the Women’s Sub Committee will take place on Monday, 26th October 2020 at 2 p.m.
